Medical Emergency First Aid

This course provides training and guidance to designated personnel in providing immediate first aid in any event of accident or illnesses on board that conforms to current first aid practice. This course also aims that each participant will have acquired the confidence to partake in providing immediate measures during cases of medical emergency.

Objective:

Those successfully completing this course will have knowledge and skill of the first aid sufficient to take immediate effective action in the case of accident, or illness, likely to occur on board ship until the arrival of the person who is in charge of medical care.

Training Methodology:

Lecture, Demonstration and Practical works


Certificate of Training:

shall be given to each candidate who successfully completed the course and passed the assessment


Entry requirements:

Ship’s officers and other seafarers who have succefully completed Basic Training in Medical Emergency.


Duration:

3 days
