Medial Care

This course provides training and guidance to designated personnel in providing medical care to the sick and injured while they reamain on board. This course also aims that every seafarer who is designated to take charge of medical care on board ship shall demonstrate the competence to undertake the tasks, duties and responsibilities as specified in table AVI/42 of the 1978 STCW Convention, as amended.


Objective:

The trainee who successfully completed this course will have gained experience in coordinated schemes for medical assistance on board ships at sea. Also, this course aims to provide skills in taking care of the sick or injured with satisfactory standards of medical care while they remain on board.

Training Methodology :

Lecture, Demonstration and Practical works


Certificate of Training:

Shall be given to each candidate who successfully completed the course and passed the assessment


Entry Requirement:

Ships officers and other seafarers who have successfully completed Medical Emergency First Aid.
