MANAGEMENT LEVEL COURSE FOR MARINE ENGINEERS

Function 1: Marine Engineering at the Management Level

This course is designed to comply with the requirements of the 1978 International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping as amended in 1995 (STCW ’95). This intends to address the provisions of the STCW Code Table AIII/ 2 under the Function: Marine Engineering at the Management Level. The aforesaid requirements are further detailed in the IMO Model Course 7.02, Function 1, which necessitates strengthening of the fundamental knowledge in marine engineering.

Training Methodology:
 

This course shall be delivered using the classroom as well as laboratory mode of instructions. One Lead Instructor shall deliver the Classroom Instruction and an Assistant Instructor shall assist the Lead Instructor particularly during Laboratory Instructions.



Certificate of Training:
 

Successful Trainees shall be awarded with certificates of completion, attesting to their successful completion of this function.



Entry requirements:
 

This course is offered to practicing marine engineers who aim to be certificated as Management Level Marine Engineer Officers.
