SIMULATOR TRAINING IN CARGO HANDLING
FOR CHEMICAL CARRIER
This Course is designed to comply with the requirements of the 1978 International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping as amended in 1995 (STCW ’95) particularly on the provisions stated therein that the requirements for planning and ensuring safe loading, care during the voyage and unloading of cargoes as well as maintaining seaworthiness of the ship regarding trim, stability and stress.

Training Methodology:
This course shall be delivered using the classroom as well as laboratory mode of instructions using Kongsberg Cargo Handling Simulators.
Model Description:
The Chemical Carrier model is based on a real ship modified to cover most chemical carriers, including tank types 1, 2 and 3. There are 37 tanks, all fitted with fixed submerged pumps and separate lines and manifolds. There is an inert gas generator and a bank of N2 bottles and 20 available ready made cargo types. The user may enter 10 cargoes of his choice. Tank atmosphere data is calculated continuously. There are no chemical reactions between the cargoes, but cargoes may solidify.
Certificate of Training:
Successful Trainees shall be awarded with certificates of completion, attesting to their successful completion of the course.

5 days for each training level
