Simulator Training in Cargo Handling
for LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS (LPG)

This Course is designed to comply with the requirements of the 1978 International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping as amended in 1995 (STCW ’95) particularly on the provisions stated therein that the requirements for planning and ensuring safe loading, care during the voyage and unloading of cargoes as well as maintaining seaworthiness of the ship regarding trim, stability and stress.

Training Methodology:

This course shall be delivered using the classroom as well as laboratory mode of instructions using Kongsberg Cargo Handling Simulators.


Model Description:

The CHSLPG/Ethylene model is based on a real LPG/Ethylene tanker. The model consists of three double Independent tanks Type C able to take fully refrigerated or semi pressurized cargoes. A compressor room is fitted with three compressors and two R22 plants. The ship can take two separate grades. Booster pumps and cargo heaters are situated on deck. A separate ballast system is fitted, and a nitrogen bank as well as an inert gas generator with dryer system. The cargo temperature and environment data may be set individually. Tank atmosphere and temperature data is calculated continuously.


Certificate of Training:

Successful Trainees shall be awarded with certificates of completion, attesting to their successful completion of the course.

5 days for each training level
