SIMULATOR TRAINING IN COLLISION AVOIDANCE w/ AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM (STCA w/ AIS)
This course provides simulator training in Ships Bridge Simulator Systems delivered by Kongsberg Norcontrol Simulation AS for: Marine Deck Officers; and/or Prospective Marine Deck Officers in the Operational Level Objectives: To provide indepth knowledge and enhance skills in the application of relevant Collision Avoidance Regulation under all weather conditions and visibility except ice. To harness skills in the operational use of different navigational equipment in the bridge to prevent collision. To upgrade the level of competence in Bridge Watchkeeping.
Course Content:
Simulator system overview; NSCPi Training Concept; Application of ColReg 72, IALA Buoyage System; Radar/ARPA; Navigation, Basic ship handling and maneuvering, Introduction to ECDIS, Practice and Principles of Bridge Resource Management.

Training Methodology:
Classroom Instructions, Computer based instructions, and Dynamic real time simulation Certificate of Training shall be given to each candidate who satisfactorily completed the course and passed the Simulator Exercise Assessment (SEA) System, a builtin, computerized objective assessment using relevant parameters.
